Think twice before you visit

Well, poor innocent Sheila visited dear little Mazarron somewhat unwittingly. Little did she know she'd be welcomed and entertained by a member of the Mafiosi! Here they both are on Pigeon Rock - official name Eagle's Beak Headland.

scary . . .

And where was this infamous character inviting her to here? A dark cave?

No worries - don't have nightmares, it was just fluffy, wavy ol' Terry in disguise. He was actually showing Sheila the historic remains of an installation designed to extract salt from the sea.
A series of rock chambers and sluice gates would allow the sea water to flood the local area at appropriate times. Then, through evaporation, the sea salt would be harvested. 'The local area' being . . . where we live. Dun-de-dun-dun-aargh!
We always said we'd live on a hill. Now we live very slightly below sea level. Anyone want to visit? By 'eck, Sheila was really brave.

But, of course, you can always rely on divine protection round 'ere.

Lovely visit, She. And make sure Lucy eats up all her dinner, just like her Nan. xxx
